What to expect when you visit.

Our prayer is that you will honor us by coming to one of our Worship Services.

However, we realize that visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating experience, so we want to give you an idea of what to expect.

The Setting

As you arrive you will find adequate parking for all of our guests. Our facility is Handicap friendly with no stairs or steps to navigate around. You will be warmly welcomed with a hand shake and a copy of this week's Service bulletin. Our greeters are there to help you find where you are going and to answer any questions that you may have.

We will let you know just how glad we are that you are here, but at no time will you be singled out or embarrassed in any way.

Children

We offer age appropriate classes for any of your children.

Dress

On Sunday mornings, you will find men and women in suits and dresses as well as in slacks and jeans. Dress according to your own comfort level, it is entirely a personal decision.

However you choose to come, we will be glad to see you.

What is Worship like?

Church services tend to come in all flavors, so we would like to give you some idea of what to expect at Starratt Road.

You can expect a relaxed, open, and loving atmosphere.

You can expect to hear great spiritual songs from our worship band.

You can expect to hear a message that will challenge and inspire you. You will hear uplifting, biblical perspectives on topics that touch on the issues of everyday life like relationships, marriage, parenting, purpose and meaning.

You can expect to encounter real people living life in the real world. We know that life can be stressful and difficult at times. We also know that people in the world are searching for relationships that are authentic, a place to share family values and a place to belong.

Let us give you an encouraging boost to begin your week that is both spiritual and practical.

Open Communion

We practice the weekly observance of the Lord's Supper. Jesus instituted this remembrance the night before His death. The bread is to be a reminder of the willing sacrifice of His body for our sins. The fruit of the vine is to be a reminder of the blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

As our guest you are invited to remember the Lord's loving sacrifice for our sins with us. If you choose not to, feel free to pass the plates to the person next to you.

Offering

Following the Lord's Supper, we provide an opportunity to make an offering. This is the means by which our members make their weekly contributions in support of our ministries. Occasionally, we will also take an offering for special needs.

As our guest you are welcome but not expected to make an offering.

Invitation

At the close of the sermon, there will be an invitation time. This is simply a time to invite those who are moved to do so to make a commitment or request prayer support.

Following the Service

There will be a gift at the Guest Center for our first time guests.
